Police investigate Elgin death

POLICE in Elgin are investigating the death of a man in a house in the town.

A cordon was thrown around North Street in New Elgin after 6pm on Monday night after a body was discovered.

Police are treating the death of Steven Eddie (40) as unexplained at this stage.

There was a heavy police presence at the scene as officers carried out an examination of the area.

Both ends of the street was blocked off to traffic with uniformed officers stationed at either end of the street.
